Jake O'Neil competes in $100,047-to-win Yankee Dirt Classic at 300 Raceway

Jake entered Stock Car action at the 300 Raceway in Farley, IA for the XR $100,000 to win event and also competed with the XR Super Series at the weekend-ending Yankee Dirt Track Classic.

In the Stock Cars, he qualified 1st in his group, which put him 6th in his heat race, where he was able to race forward to finish 2nd. He then started 6th in night's qualifying feature and at one point was battling for the lead, only to have another car make contact and cut his tire, ending his night. The following night, he raced from 8th to 4th in the b-main, solidifying the 24th starting spot in the night's feature race. In the $100,000 to win feature, he started 24th and worked his way forward, only to have mechanical issues end his night early.

He then jumped into a Super Late model owned by Carey Umbarger for the $50,000 to win Yankee Dirt Track Classic and after qualifying fifth, he fell out of his heat race, which put him 23rd in the field for the feature. In the main, he rallied forward quickly to pass 12 cars, landing in 11th when the checkered flag flew.

Nick was back in his NASCAR Modified at the Tucson Speedway and swept the night! He was the quickest qualifier in the field, won his heat race from 6th and then repeated the feat by winning the night's feature race from 6th as well to cap off the perfect night.
