Podium run for Jake in USMTS opener at Mason City
Jake was at the Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa for the three night USMTS weekend and posted finishes of 3rd, 9th and 17th on the weekend.
Thursday night, after qualifying fourth in his group, he raced from 3rd to 2nd in his heat race and then started and finished 9th in the night's feature race.
Friday, he qualified third in his group, then raced from 4th to 2nd in his heat race, before starting fifth in the feature and racing to a third place finish and on Saturday night, he qualified third again in his group, ran third in his heat race and was credited with a 17th place finish in the night's $10,000 to win main event.
